What to Pack - Israel is a casual country!
April - October:
Very light and comfortable clothing, sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat are essential. A light jacket or sweater for the cooler evenings is recommended.
November - April:
Pack a warm raincoat with a zip-out lining. Layers work best.
All Year:
A comfortable pair of walking shoes or sneakers. For visits to the holy shrines and synagogues, modest dress is required: Women will need to cover their head and shoulders and wear a longer length skirt. Men should wear slacks and also have a head covering.
